Achieving an impressive A Level score, Nguyen Hoang Anh is officially named by the Top 2 University in Australia
Outstanding Achievement
Achieved A* in Business, A in Math and IT (Cambridge A Level Exam)
Currently studying in the final year of the Cambridge A Level Advanced Baccalaureate program, Greenfield School International System
Although not yet finished 12th grade, Nguyen Hoang Anh (12C1, Cambridge International System) has been early admitted to the Commerce major, University of Sydney (Australia).
The University of Sydney is in the G8 group (8 leading universities in Australia). According to the QS World University Rankings 2024, the 174-year-old school is ranked 2nd in Australia and 19th globally. This is the only school Hoang Anh applied to in the early admission period.
As a student studying in the Cambridge International System, Hoang Anh is exposed to 2 educational programs: the Vietnamese High School Program and the British A Level Baccalaureate Program. Specifically, with the British A Level Baccalaureate program, students will study Mathematics, Business, Information Technology in English and take exams to complete the A Level certification.
The A Level certificate is recognized globally and is considered a gold ticket to apply to the world's top universities such as the University of Cambridge (UK), New York University (USA), University of Toronto (Canada)... Many top universities in Vietnam such as Foreign Trade University, Hanoi University of Science and Technology, National Economics University... also open their doors to students with A Level certificates without waiting for the national high school graduation exam results.
According to the Cambridge A Level exam schedule, Greenfield School students will complete the exams in the first semester of 12th grade. However, with a solid foundation of knowledge, Hoang Anh boldly registered for the Cambridge A Level exams earlier than the schedule and had results of 3 subjects achieving above A. Specifically, he achieved A* in Business and 2 A's in Mathematics and IT.

To apply to the University of Sydney, candidates need to achieve 3 or 4 A Level unit points, of which the minimum required average score is BBB (3B) and the maximum score is AAAA (4A*). With the achieved scores, at the end of August 2024, Hoang Anh decided to apply to the leading university in Australia.
"I wanted to try my hand so I wouldn't regret it, but I didn't have too many expectations because of the high competition rate of the school. Australia values academic achievements and awards, while I only have A Level scores and no IELTS certificate. In addition to being admitted to the University of Sydney, I also received a scholarship worth 20% for 3 years of study. This result is beyond my imagination," Hoang Anh recalled.
Sharing the secret of studying so that all subjects achieve A or above, Hoang Anh said that he always prioritizes maximum comfort when doing anything. "I usually learn the lesson myself at home first and ask the teachers about things I don't understand when I come to class. Teacher Duc, Teacher Adam, Teacher Hang, Teacher Hanh, Teacher Thao... are all enthusiastic to support and answer my questions both in class and at home." In particular, Hoang Anh focuses on balancing study and rest time, not forcing himself to overexert.
In addition to the eligible A Level score, Hoang Anh believes that the reason he received a "nod" from the Top 2 University in Australia is because of the harmony between academic achievements and extracurricular activities related to passion, social contribution and demonstrating leadership ability.
Having a hobby of making handmade items, Hoang Anh once initiated a project to make handmade bracelets to sell at fairs, organizing workshops on making handmade bracelets at cafes. The process of self-researching, participating in the smallest stages in the project's operation has helped Hoang Anh better understand business administration and manage finances effectively. At the end of the project, all revenue was donated to a charity kitchen in the city.
Besides that, Hoang Anh is also an active member of competitions and clubs, partly because of passion, partly because this is very helpful for personal profiles, and also helps him meet friends he loves. Despite many difficulties in the process of operation, he tried his best to do his best in his ability.
He is the Head of the Professional Committee of the High School Business Case Competition - an academic playground about finance and economics for students from 15 - 18 years old, President of the Humans of Greenfield Club, Vice President of the Greenfield STEAM Space Club, Vice President of the Greenfield Debate Society, Head of Communications Department of the Greenfield Handmade Club.

"Hoang Anh has clear learning goals and specific plans to achieve those goals. He is always cheerful, optimistic, supports friends in learning and creates a fun classroom atmosphere," Ms. My Hanh said.
Currently, Hoang Anh has not yet made a final decision on his stop after graduating from high school. He wants to try to apply to international universities in Vietnam and some other universities in Australia. However, he said he will still pursue the field of Commerce - Finance. "My dream after graduating from university is to become an entrepreneur and create things that are valuable to society," Hoang Anh said.
Dao Le Khanh Tam (12C1, Cambridge International System) has just won a President scholarship worth 80% (equivalent to nearly 1.5 billion VND) from Fulbright University Vietnam (FUV). Previously, she was also admitted to Monash University (Top 5 leading universities in Australia).
