TOP SPEAKER KIDS is an English eloquence playground exclusively for students in Grades 4 and 5 at Greenfield School. Beyond being a knowledge competition to improve foreign language skills, this is also a place for children to practice confidence, develop a poised demeanor, and master engaging public speaking skills.

This year, the competition topics are designed to be closely aligned with the curriculum, helping students easily apply the vocabulary and knowledge accumulated in class. Through this, each contestant can integrate personal stories to share their unique and colorful perspectives on the world around them.

I. Competition Rules

1. Video Round (February 13 - March 05) Students in the same grade will form pairs to participate. Each team produces a video of up to 3 minutes, introducing themselves and their teammates in the most creative style.

Entry Requirements:

  • Format: Students are free to choose their expression methods such as presentation, storytelling, filmmaking, or designing illustrative posters.

  • Language: Natural expression, clear content, and age-appropriate.

  • Technical: Videos must be filmed in landscape orientation.

  • Interaction: Pay attention to eye contact with partners and the camera lens.

  • Support: Friends and relatives can assist with filming and editing techniques but may not participate in the content of the contestant's speech.

After this round, the 14–16 most outstanding pairs from each grade will win tickets to the Semi-finals.

2. Semi-final Round (March 12) In this round, teams will draw lots to defend the "Agree" or "Disagree" viewpoint on a given topic and present directly to the Board of Judges.

Competition Process:

  • Teams prepare two speeches for both perspectives (Agree and Disagree) in advance.

  • Upon entering the competition, two opposing teams will draw lots to decide which side they must defend.

  • Each pair has a maximum of 5 minutes to present their arguments.

  • At the end of the speech, each team will ask at least one cross-examination question to clarify the content of the opposing team.

  • Results: 10 pairs (including 8 round winners and 2 runners-up with the most impressive performances) will proceed directly to the Grand Finale.

3. Grand Finale (March 31)

  • Round 1 - Spotlights: 1 explosive minute for teams to introduce themselves in the most distinct and unique style.

  • Round 2 - Culture: A challenge of knowledge regarding Vietnamese history and culture through a set of English questions from the Organizing Committee.

  • Round 3: Demonstrate linguistic talent through a presentation on the topic "CULTURE." This is the time for teams to express their understanding and feelings about the cultural beauty of countries and localities around the world.
