27/12/2024

After the qualifying round with unique business ideas, yesterday (December 27), 7 teams from Grade 10 entered the Final of "The Billion Dollar Deal." Inspired by the TV show Shark Tank Vietnam, this interdisciplinary project in Mathematics, Economics, and Law provided a valuable platform for students to apply the knowledge they have learned to create business plans, aiming to attract investment for the upcoming Tet Nhan Ai 2025.

The Final round featured a prestigious panel of judges: Mrs. Ngo Thi Thu Hang - Lecturer at the University of Economics and Business advisor at Greenfield School; Mrs. Do Chau Giang - Deputy Director of Ezlabs Technology Co., Ltd.; Mrs. Pham Tam - Teacher of Economics and Law and academic advisor Mrs. Phan Thanh Van - Head of the High School Mathematics Department; and Mr. Nguyen Ba Luong - Head of the Social Studies Department.

With their professional expertise, the judging panel will provide the most constructive and impartial feedback

In this competition, the talented "young entrepreneurs" competed through 3 intense yet equally captivating rounds:

Round 1 - The Arena of Intelligence: The 7 competing teams answered questions related to Mathematics and Economics & Law, with each question worth 10 points. Many tricky questions challenged the teams, requiring careful thought to provide accurate answers. With their logical thinking, quick reflexes, and strong knowledge, the teams 10G2, 10A1, 10A4, and 10A2 earned their spots to advance.

The round required teams to apply their knowledge effectively and think flexibly within the given time limit

Round 2 - Brand Positioning: In this round, the teams presented their brand positioning ideas for the products to be sold at the Tet Nhan Ai 2025 Fair. Four teams brought unique business ideas: Dư vị Hà Nội (pork rib congee, soybean milk), Trà trộn vào tim anh (kumquat tea, mixed rice paper), Chưng rán zòn zòn (fried sticky rice cake, kumquat tea), and “PHO”NOMENON (Pho). With witty performances, creative and polished slides, and surprising real products, the teams not only highlighted the uniqueness of their products and business strategies but also showcased their understanding and sharpness in answering the judges' tricky questions.

Round 3 - Rapid Response: To convince the judges with their business ideas, 10G2 and 10A1 officially advanced to the final round to determine the champion. Faced with a real-world scenario where customers complained that the product they received did not match the advertisement and there was a shortage of supply after sales, both teams quickly came up with crisis management strategies and responded swiftly after just 5 minutes of preparation.

Through the exciting and highly competitive contest, the teams achieved remarkable results and received investment from the Parent Committee to turn their business ideas into reality for the Tet Nhan Ai 2025 event. Congratulations to the winners:

  • 1st Prize: 10G2
  • 2nd Prize: 10A1
  • 3rd Prize: 10A4, 10A2
  • Potential Award: 10A3, 10G1, 10C1

The competition concluded with a range of emotions and the wholehearted effort of the students. Going beyond the simple scope of a competition, the program not only helped the students develop creative thinking, analytical skills, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities, but also served as a launchpad for their entrepreneurial dreams in the future.
