“Let’s Debate!” Season 2 - Final Round: Emotional victory

After many days of preparation, the final round of the Vietnamese Debate contest season 2 officially took place on March 21st 2023. 16 teams competed in direct matches to find the Champion of 4 Groups.

In the Semi-final, 4 teams competed in Group A (6A1, 6A2, 6A6, 6C1), 4 teams competed in Group B (7A3, 7A4, 7A6, 7G1), 4 teams competed in Group C (9A3, 8C1, 8A1 , 9C1) and 4 teams in Group D (11G2, 11G1, 11A1, 10A3). They entered the intensive elimination matches to find the 2 best teams from each Group to move on to the Final Round.

Challenging topics at the semi-finals such as: "Dose Halloween fade traditional cultural values", "As parents, I will raise my children to become KOLs on social networks." … have made the debate become more fierce than ever. With their strong arguments and convincing points, the team of 6C1, 6A1 (Group A), 7A6, 7A4 (Group B), 8A1, 9C1 (Group C) and 10A3, 11A1 (Group D) won the ticket to the Finals.

In the final match of Group A, class team 6C1, 6A1 gave different points of view on the petition "We support the abolition of the regular school test". Meanwhile, the final of Group B revolved around the proposal "Using GPT Chat in education and teaching" presented by the team 7A6, 7A4. Teams 8A1, 9C1 were extremely confident when they received the petition "Homeschooling should be replaced with traditional school-based learning" in the final of Group C. Finally, the most dramatic match was the round of Group D, teams 10A3, 11A1 had a fierce debate on the proposal "Supporting the FIRE trend".

Witnessing explosive competition, the judges had extremely considered to find the best team of season 2. We would like to congratulate the new champions of " Let’s Debate!" 2023: 

Winner: 6A1, 7A4, 9C1, 11A1

Runner up: 6C1, 7A6, 8A1, 10A3

Third place: 6A2, 6A6, 7A3, 7G1, 9A3, 8C1, 11G1, 11G2

Especially, the Best Speaker award was given to 4 individuals with the most confident and convincing arguments: Han Nguyen An Nguyen (6A1), Trinh Linh Nhi (7A4), Nguyen Khac Hai Dang (9C1), Nguyen Vu Thao Ly (11A1).

The journey of “ Let’s Debate!” 2023 has come to an end with so many emotions and happy tears. Once again, congratulations to all the excellent teams and individuals in the competition. Hopefully, the competition has brought useful knowledge and memorable experiences for students, helping them continue to develop their critical thinking. Let's look forward to the return of "Debate!" next season!
