Meet Tran Thuc Anh - the new student council President for the 2025 – 2026 academic year
Outstanding Achievement
New President of the Student Council at Greenfield School for the 2025 – 2026 academic year.
Active Participation in School and Class Activities
Having transferred to Greenfield School in the 9th grade, Thuc Anh hoped to find an open environment where students were encouraged to challenge themselves. At that time, she was still reserved but hoped to become more confident and dynamic. Greenfield School has delivered more than she expected.
In her first days in the new environment, with encouragement from teachers and friends, Thuc Anh immersed herself in a variety of school activities, from academics and sports to community work. This persistent journey of self-challenge has helped her become increasingly confident, proactive, and mature.
Thuc Anh actively participates in activities organized by the school.
During her four years at Greenfield School, Thuc Anh held many different positions and roles, such as: Blue Dolphin House Captain (2024 - 2025), Head of Communication Committee for the Green Elephant House (2023 – 2024), and Vice Head of Communication for the Student Council (2023 – 2024).
In addition, she also left her mark with outstanding achievements: Exemplary Student for two consecutive years (2023 – 2024, 2024 – 2025), winning the Gold Medal in Badminton at the Greenfield Olympics for three consecutive years (2022 - 2023; 2023 - 2024; 2024 - 2025), Second Prize in the Greenfield Talks competition (2024 – 2025), and leading the Blue Dolphin House to the Greenfield Olympics Gold Cup (2024 – 2025).
Seizing the moment, Thuc Anh boldly registered as soon as the campaign for the Student Council Executive Board for the 2025 - 2026 academic year was launched. She humorously confided that she admired and was inspired by the seniors who were both academically excellent, talented, highly trustworthy, and very "cool" as Student Council Presidents, so she did not hesitate to try.
A Convincing Campaign Journey
Entering the campaign, Thuc Anh said that thanks to her prior experience in various activities, she did not face difficulties in the application and interview rounds. The biggest challenge for her was the direct debate round, where she had to overcome her own self-doubt to convince teachers and students across the entire grade level.
Immediately after reaching the top 5 finalists, Thuc Anh began preparations: she practiced many times to adjust her voice and gestures; consulted teachers and friends to refine the message in her speech; and simultaneously trained herself to be calm and confident on stage.
Thanks to her meticulous preparation, she powerfully inspired the audience, bringing the hall to bursts of applause during her speech. On the direct campaign stage, she confidently asserted: "From the achievements I've earned, I draw the lesson that: every role, every promise, when coupled with determination and a spirit of unity, can become a reality."
Ms. Vu Thi Mai Huong – Homeroom Teacher of class 12A1 – shared: "Thuc Anh is a well-behaved, sincere, and passionate student. She works hard in academics while fully committing herself to class and school activities. What makes me most proud is her self-confidence, sense of responsibility, and caring heart. I believe these very qualities helped her shine and win trust in this election."
The notable achievements were skillfully brought to the stage by Thuc Anh during the direct campaign for the Executive Board.
Expressing her vision for the new term, Thuc Anh stated: "I want to strengthen the bond between teachers and students, and enhance the spiritual life of the students through more extracurricular activities, mini-games, and creative events. Additionally, I want to become a reliable representative voice for students by being ready to listen and convey their wishes to the school."
For Thuc Anh, Greenfield School is a completely ideal destination, where she got to experience everything she had ever dreamed of, such as campaigning before the whole school and giving speeches on stage in front of a crowd... The competency foundations, trust, and encouragement she gained from this school are the motivation for her to bravely move forward.
