Kaplan Singapore Institute - top 3 best private education institutions in Singapore for 5 consecutive years, received the prestigious EduTrust certification for 4 consecutive years - has just sent an admission letter to Tran Hai An (12G1). Besides that, Hai An was also soon admitted to the IDB international bachelor program - National Economics University and FPT University.
In March 2024, when deciding to study abroad after graduation, Hai An prepared his application and applied for a scholarship "hunt". Hai An chose Singapore because this is a country with leading education in Asia. At the same time, Singapore has outstanding economic development, along with a multicultural but close and open culture.

Hai An owns IELTS 7.0 - not a very high score, but that is not a disadvantage because Singapore - the country he is heading to study abroad prioritizes GPA, essays and interview rounds. Hai An carefully researched this and focused on those criteria to make himself stand out from other candidates.
After having a stable GPA score (9.3), Hai An spent a lot of time investing in the essay. The school's essay requires creativity and personalization, which makes Hai An anxious. He brainstormed, developed, wrote, and edited for more than 1 month. After discarding many drafts, he had an essay with his personal mark.
Hai An's essay that conquered the Kaplan Singapore Scholarship Review Council showed his will, nghị lực, and not giving up in the face of failure. He shared: "Speaking in front of a crowd is not my strength, but I boldly participated in the "Speak Out!" debate contest. Although I was eliminated in the semi-finals, the experience in the competition helped me overcome my fear of standing on stage, be confident when speaking in front of hundreds of audiences and cultivate leadership skills."
In the interview round, Hai An did not encounter too many difficulties. He carefully prepared his outfit and mindset when talking to the school representative. In addition to basic questions such as introducing himself, reasons for choosing to study in Singapore, reasons for choosing a major, future plans..., the Kaplan Singapore representative asked in-depth questions about the issue of racial discrimination that Hai An mentioned in the essay.
Having had the opportunity to participate in community service projects during his studies, Hai An has accumulated his own perceptions and understanding of the reality of disadvantaged groups. In the essay defining success as a Kaplan student, Hai An đưa ra những hành động hướng đến cộng đồng to reduce inequality in society. This is also consistently shown in the interview round about his desired plans at University.
After a 20-minute interview, Hai An received good news when he was admitted to a 50% scholarship for the course at Kaplan Singapore. "I didn't have too many expectations when applying because the number of scholarships was limited, and my profile was not too strong. Receiving the notification from the Kaplan Vice Principal, I was extremely happy and eagerly shared it with my classmates," Hai An recalled.
The person Hai An always admires and respects is his parents. He admires his parents for their nghị lực because his parents rose up with their own two hands. Until now, his parents have achieved certain successes, becoming talented entrepreneurs, admired by many people.

His parents work in the business field, so Hai An soon had the opportunity to access business issues and how a business operates. Along with studying Business in the Global Citizenship Bilingual program, Hai An was inspired and realized his true dream. He wants to follow in his parents' footsteps and run the family's brand.
Entering Greenfield School from 2nd grade, Hai An always feels grateful because Greenfield School is the vững chắc hậu phương that helps him take off successfully. "Studying in the Global Citizenship Bilingual System has helped me improve my IELTS score. Without spending extra time studying, I still achieved the desired score. I also have the opportunity to participate in community service projects or get exposed to business concepts.
On Senior Walk day, when parading around the school with my friends under the cheers of teachers and students of lower grades, I was really touched. My steps on Senior Walk day reminded me of the journey I had traveled many years ago. 11 years of studying here, for me, Greenfield School is my second home."
Thank you Hai An for sharing with Greenfield School and wish you continued success on the upcoming journey to soon realize your dream of becoming a businessman!
