Students of 11C1 on a field trip to the Blue Dragon Children's Foundation

As part of the Community Service subject, the students of class 11C1 embarked on a meaningful field trip to the Blue Dragon Children’s Foundation on the morning of September 20. This trip provided them with an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the organization and explore effective ways to implement their project.
The Blue Dragon Children’s Foundation is a non-governmental organization founded in 2003 with a mission to rescue children and women in difficult situations across Vietnam. Believing that every child deserves care and protection, the organization has been supporting street children, children with disabilities, and young people who have been trafficked or exploited. Their work focuses on reuniting these children with their families whenever possible and providing them with essential resources for recovery and development.
Prior to the field trip, on August 30, the students had a meeting with representatives from the Blue Dragon Children’s Foundation at GFS. As part of this project, they will collaborate with the foundation to raise funds for personal care items such as toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo, and body wash to support children, families, and students at boarding schools currently assisted by the organization.
During their visit, the 11C1 students were introduced to different departments and operational structures of the Blue Dragon Children’s Foundation. They also listened to real-life stories shared by young people who had received support from the organization. The students actively engaged in discussions, asking thoughtful questions to gain a clearer understanding of the foundation’s work, which will help them implement their project effectively this school year.

After meeting with community partners at school and taking a field trip to the laundromat in September and October, the students of class 11G1 have begun meaningful initiatives to bring their support project for Giat la Sang—a laundromat run by the Deaf— to life. Their project focuses on two main activities: creating promotional videos for the laundromat’s TikTok channel and setting up a booth to encourage service registrations.

As part of the Community Service subject, on the afternoon of November 30, the students of classes 10C1 and 11C1 embarked on a meaningful trip to Tuyet Thai Nursing Home in Dong Anh, Hanoi. Officially operating since 2012, Tuyet Thai Nursing Home has become a "second home" for nearly 90 elderly residents, many of whom suffer from chronic illnesses or are bedridden.

As part of the Community Project, "Tutoring for Underclassmen" is carried out by students of class 10G2, aiming to support younger students from grades 1 to 5 in having a meaningful time after school. The project provides a safe and effective learning space while helping children develop their communication skills, focus, and teamwork through engaging experiential activities.
