10G1 Students Bring Love to Children with Disabilities
09/05/2025
Following two months of implementing their "Bon Bon - Full Bellies, Warm Hearts" community project, which generated over 7.5 million VND in revenue, students from class 10G1 today embarked on a meaningful trip to the Hanoi Center for Nurturing Children with Disabilities in Chuc Son, Chuong My. There, the students generously donated school supplies and essential daily necessities to the young residents.
Established in 1978, the Hanoi Center for Nurturing Children with Disabilities provides care, rehabilitation, literacy education, and vocational training for children with disabilities across Hanoi. The majority of children at the center have been afflicted since birth with one or more conditions, such as muteness, deafness, autism, hearing impairment, or intellectual disabilities.
Prior to their visit, the students actively raised funds for the project by making and sourcing products like cream puffs, kimbap, and tteokbokki. They sold these items both online via Facebook and directly at a booth at the "Cho Que" (Countryside Market) in Ecopark Urban Area.
At the center, beyond interacting and meeting the children, the students also presented engaging cultural performances and fun games. Due to the presence of many hearing-impaired children, teachers at the center provided support to ensure all children could understand and participate in the activities. The excitement and joy of the children were evident as they received the small, lovely gifts personally wrapped by the 10G1 members.

Ngoc Minh (10G1) shared, "I found the children here very adorable and approachable. They enthusiastically participated in the activities our class organized. I believe that even if what we give isn't grand, if everyone contributes, we can certainly create wonderful things."
Ms. Thanh Thuy, a social worker at the center, expressed, "I am very impressed with the dynamism, enthusiasm, and friendliness of the Greenfield School students. Before the group arrived, the children at the center were eagerly looking forward to their visit. Due to their special circumstances, these children often feel disadvantaged and self-conscious, so this project not only brought joy but also helped the children at the center become more open and confident."

The "Bon Bon - Full Bellies, Warm Hearts" project has concluded, but it has provided the students with invaluable experiences and meaningful lessons. These include empathy for those facing difficulties, an understanding of the significance of giving, and, most importantly, a sense of responsibility and readiness to share with the community. It is hoped that after this project, the seeds of love and social responsibility will continue to be nurtured and flourish within each student.
