31 contestants demonstrate confidence and intellect at the Greenfield Talks 2025 Grand final

After advancing through a highly competitive preliminary round, 31 contestants from Grades 6–11 at the Greenfield School Ecopark Campus came together to compete in the Greenfield Talks Grand Final on December 16–17, in search of the most outstanding speaker.

In the final stage of the competition, contestants competed in three categories: Category A (Grades 6–7), Category B (Grades 8–9), and Category C (Grades 10–11).

Serving as judges for the Grand Final were teachers from the Literature and Social Studies departments. In addition, Greenfield Talks 2025 was honored to welcome experienced professionals in teaching, coaching, and adjudicating debate and public speaking competitions: Ms. Lê Đỗ Huyền Trang and Ms. Nguyễn Lê Hiền Mai, lecturers from the Vietnamese Academy of Debate and Public Speaking (VADP), who joined the panel as independent judges.

At the Grand Final, contestants presented their personal perspectives on a range of topics, including “Messages to the Future,” “Lessons from Failure,” “The Power of Small Habits,” “Moments of Growing Up,” and “Belief in Oneself” (Category A); “Personal Identity,” “Imperfection,” and “The Journey of Growing Up” (Category B); and “How Valuable Is Youth?” and “Parasocial Relationships” (Category C).

On stage, the contestants made a strong impression with sharp arguments, real-life examples, and thought-provoking messages. Many meaningful ideas were conveyed convincingly by the young speakers, such as: “Failure does not define you; how you rise again does,” “Youth is the only time in life when people are allowed to make mistakes without paying too high a price,” and “If you have no goals, you will never truly know who you are.”

Following the students’ performances, Ms. Lê Đỗ Huyền Trang shared her impressions: “I could clearly feel the passion and talent of each contestant. The students not only delivered content that was deep, emotional, and inspiring, but also demonstrated a confident and professional presence on stage—something truly commendable.”

*Whether middle school or high school students, all contestants demonstrated strong preparation through both the substance of their speeches and their confident delivery.*

Sharing the same sentiment, Ms. Nguyễn Lê Hiền Mai remarked:“The contestants performed exceptionally well. Their thorough preparation was evident in every slide, every argument, every example, the interactive questions, and even the materials brought onto the stage. It is difficult to say anything other than praise for their serious efforts.”

After intense and exciting rounds of competition, the contest proudly announced its outstanding winners.

Greenfield Talks – Season 3 has officially come to a close, leaving behind a wide range of emotions and many memorable moments. Greenfield School believes that beyond the awards, the most valuable achievements students gained are their growth in language proficiency, logical and critical thinking, confident presentation skills, and a deeper understanding of social issues and global knowledge.
