A portrait of Nguyen Do Minh Anh, a Grade 12A2 student who received admission offers from seven prestigious Australian universities.

Since childhood, Minh Anh was inspired by her father’s stories and real-world lessons on negotiation and securing high-value contracts. These experiences fostered a dream to pursue Business after high school, leading her to research top-tier universities in the field early on.

In the summer of Grade 9, Minh Anh visited Australia for a summer camp. Two weeks of immersion—attending classes, exploring the culture, and living with locals—solidified her determination to live and study in one of the world's leading economies.

Throughout high school, Minh Anh meticulously planned her roadmap. "Australian universities place a heavy emphasis on GPA," she noted. "In addition to preparing for IELTS and SAT, I focused on excelling in every subject to keep my school grades as high as possible."

Beyond academic excellence, her profile stood out due to her persistent commitment to extracurricular activities. Minh Anh served as the President of the HOG (Humans of Greenfield) Club, a member of the Glee Music Club and Basketball Club, and Vice Captain of Orange House. These leadership roles showcased her sense of responsibility and ability to foster community—qualities that earned her the trust of peers, teachers, and admission boards alike.

Furthermore, for three consecutive years, she and her classmates developed business strategies for stalls at the "Tet of Kindness" Fair, an annual charity event at Greenfield School. Winning 3rd Prize in the "Business Project" in Grade 11 and 2nd Prize in Grade 12 served as early milestones that bolstered her confidence in her long-term career path.

When it came to her essay, Minh Anh highlighted that Australian universities require a Genuine Student (GS) statement rather than the traditional personal statements used by US colleges. This statement focuses on the applicant's understanding of Australia and their specific reasons for choosing their major.

For Minh Anh, the key to a successful essay is being "concise and accurate." She believes in highlighting one's true character and outlining a clear future direction while avoiding fluff. "Honesty and consistency with the rest of the application are paramount," she explained. These seven offers are the "sweet fruit" of her unwavering effort and passion.

Joining Greenfield School Ecopark in Grade 10, Minh Anh sought an environment that balanced academics with extracurriculars—a place where students are encouraged to take risks. Greenfield School exceeded those expectations.

"At Greenfield, I was constantly encouraged to try new things. I am especially grateful to Ms. Thanh (12A2 Form Teacher) for her dedicated career counseling, encouraging me to take the SAT, and advising me on leadership roles," Minh Anh shared. She credits the school with helping her "break out of her shell," moving from shyness to maturity. "If I hadn't participated in these school activities, I wouldn't be the Minh Anh I am today."

To young students dreaming of studying abroad, Minh Anh emphasizes: "Start as early as possible and stay persistent with your goals. As long as you take action today and pour your heart into it, you will achieve it."

Minh Anh is currently leaning toward Victoria University for her next chapter, where she plans to specialize in Human Resource Management and Commercial Business. We wish Minh Anh continued passion and success as she takes flight on her dream journey!
