27/03/2026

History serves as a bridge connecting the present with the invaluable traditions passed down through generations. In an ever-changing world, understanding and appreciating one’s roots plays a foundational role in helping the younger generation grow with a deep sense of national pride.

This morning, a bus filled with the excitement of Grade 3 students arrived at the Vietnam Air Defense – Air Force Museum. Surrounded by a space preserving more than 3,000 artifacts and a wealth of vivid historical materials, the students felt as though they had stepped into a vast living encyclopedia of the heroic years of the nation’s military and people.

At the museum—home to over 3,000 artifacts and countless engaging exhibits—students were fascinated by everything they encountered. Guided by museum staff, these young explorers listened to stories of remarkable victories. They were amazed to see firsthand relics from the Battle of Dien Bien Phu, fragments of downed enemy aircraft, and badges awarded by Ho Chi Minh to brave soldiers. In particular, the ingenious anti-jamming innovations developed by the Air Defense – Air Force from 1968 to 1972 inspired deep admiration among the students.

Grade 3 students gained a wealth of valuable historical knowledge during their visit to the museum.

Lessons on patriotism became vivid and tangible through the outdoor exhibition area, featuring imposing missile launchers and sophisticated radar systems. Students were especially excited to explore the legendary Mil Mi-6 helicopter. This “see, hear, and touch” experience helped them better understand the harsh realities of war as well as the strategic brilliance of previous generations, particularly through the model of the “Dien Bien Phu in the Air” campaign.
