14/05/2026

Awe, pride, and deep emotion were the shared feelings of parents, teachers, and students as they attended the final showcase of the interdisciplinary Literature – History – English experiential activity “Portraits of Historical Figures – Season 3” by Grade 7 students.

Returning for its third season, the experiential activity delivered high-quality performances that repeatedly brought the auditorium to bursts of applause and admiration for the talent of these young performers.

Having surpassed 22 performances in the preliminary round, the six best plays officially advanced to the final showcase. After more than a month of dedicated rehearsals, prop preparation, script refinement, and careful attention to every scene, the students delivered heartfelt performances that vividly recreated famous historical figures of Vietnam from the 10th to the 15th century.

Grade 7 students confidently recreated heroic historical figures through emotionally engaging and highly creative stage performances.

The audience was taken on a journey back through history, reliving heroic moments of the nation through each outstanding performance. These included the resounding Bach Dang victory led by Ngo Quyen, reenacted by class 7A4; the image of Dinh Bo Linh unifying the country after the “12 warlords” chaos portrayed by 7A2; the heroic leadership and military brilliance of Le Hoan brought to life by 7G2; the glorious “Dong A spirit” embodied in Tran Quoc Tuan by 7C1; and the legendary Lam Son uprising led by Le Loi, powerfully depicted by 7G1 and 7C2.

Although only Grade 7 students, they amazed the audience with their natural acting and convincing character portrayals. Every gaze, gesture, and line of dialogue reflected the spirit of the historical figures—from the authority of kings and the bravery of great generals to the cunning of antagonists. Many climactic scenes left parents, teachers, and students deeply engaged and emotionally moved.

Beyond impressive performances, the students also demonstrated growth in teamwork, creativity, and responsibility throughout the preparation journey. From scriptwriting and costume design to stage direction, every detail was carefully crafted with dedication and enthusiasm.

Sharing after the program, Ms. Ngo Thi Huong Thom – Head of the High School Literature Department – expressed her emotion:
“The students showed great enthusiasm, a deep love for national history, and sincere respect for the sacrifices of their ancestors. I was truly impressed by how vividly and authentically they recreated historical events on stage, with meticulous investment in costumes, props, sound, scene transitions, and acting.
