Fiery debates at the Qualifying Round of the “Let’s Debate!” Competition for Grades 6–7.
19/03/2026
After four successful seasons, “Let’s Debate!”—a Vietnamese debating competition for students from Grades 6 to 12—has officially returned.
The competition is not only a platform for students to showcase their confidence in front of an audience, but also an opportunity for them to voice their perspectives on current social issues.
This year’s qualifying round welcomed 68 teams, divided into four groups: Group A (Grade 6), Group B (Grade 7), Group C (Grades 8–9), and Group D (Grades 10–12). Kicking off the journey to find the champion, the Grade 6–7 qualifiers officially took place this morning, featuring a series of intense head-to-head debates.
Right after receiving their motions, teams representing the Affirmative and Negative sides from Grades 6–7 quickly got to work, building well-structured arguments. Timely and thought-provoking topics such as “Following idols does more harm than good,” “Students should be allowed to use mobile phones at school,” and the impact of “beauty filters” created a lively and highly engaging debating atmosphere.
After focused and strategic rounds of competition, the top teams advancing to the Semi-finals have been officially announced:
- Group A: 6A1, 6A3, 6C1, 6C2
- Group B: 7A4, 7A5, 7G1, 7G2
The next rounds for Grades 8–12 will take place on March 24. Stay tuned and cheer on the contestants in the upcoming qualifying rounds of the “Let’s Debate!” competition!
