Grade 1 students compete in the Cambridge Talents contest

Inspired by the "Ring the Golden Bell" format, the Cambridge Talents competition takes students through two intense rounds of intellectual challenges. To claim the championship title, contestants must overcome 15 thought-provoking questions covering English, Math, and Science from their curriculum at each stage.

This morning (February 10), 44 first-grade students from the Cambridge International Program competed in Cambridge Talents with great determination and enthusiasm.

In the first round, after each question was announced, students had 15 seconds to write their answers on a board and 5 seconds to display them. The challenging questions required careful thinking to select the correct answers. As the difficulty increased, the number of contestants remaining on stage gradually decreased.

Before moving on to round two, the 11 remaining contestants worked together in a ball-passing challenge, successfully bringing all participants back into the competition. Armed with strong English skills, quick thinking, and solid knowledge of Math and Science, the students tackled various question formats, including finding the correct answer, identifying missing words, and True or False exercises.

Beyond reinforcing classroom knowledge, Cambridge Talents provides young learners with an opportunity to sharpen their reflexes and apply their learning in real-time.
