Grade 12 excursion: The journey of youth

On November 7-8, Grade 12 students embarked on a meaningful two-day, one-night excursion to Mai Chau, Hoa Binh. This destination showcases the unique beauty of the Northwest region, with majestic mountain ranges, endless terraced fields, and as the cultural heartland of the Thai ethnic group.
After an exciting journey winding through mountain-hugging roads, the bus arrived at its destination amid the eager anticipation of the students. Here, they showcased their enthusiasm and excellent teamwork through vibrant teambuilding activities. Not only did they dive into a variety of “mind and strength” challenges with a strong sense of unity and determination to win, but they also had the opportunity to connect and interact with friends from different classes.
The physical activities also served as a warm-up, getting the students ready for an exciting Gala night. The stage came alive with captivating performances and vibrant musical acts, all prepared by the students themselves. Beyond the excitement, there were also heartfelt moments as they gathered around the glowing campfire, sharing stories and reflecting on the memorable milestones of their journey together.
Especially on this journey, the students had the opportunity to immerse themselves in nature and connect with the local people. Famous for Ban Lac, a village with over 700 years of history, and Pom Coong village, Mai Chau was the perfect stop for them to fully explore the beauty of nature and the rich culture of the Thai ethnic group. They captured unforgettable moments beside traditional stilt houses and the vast, breathtaking terraced fields.
The trip may have ended, but the priceless experiences shared with friends and teachers will remain in the students’ hearts—especially as they stand at a pivotal moment in their school journey as 12th graders. Hopefully, this adventure not only created beautiful memories but also provided valuable insights into the rich culture and heritage of the nation.
