Grade 3 Students Excitedly Decode the Map of World Cultures

26/03/2026

With the goal of nurturing global-mindedness, social responsibility, and emotional intelligence, 110 Grade 3 students from the Cambridge International Program and the Global Citizen Bilingual Program came together on March 25 for an exciting learning journey called “Global Explorer.”

During the event, students transformed into young explorers and embarked on an adventure across cultures, countries, and continents through a series of engaging team-based activities.

A Test of Knowledge with “Global Ring the Bell”

Inspired by the popular academic competition Ring the Golden Bell, this challenge invited students to tackle questions covering a wide range of topics related to world exploration. It provided an opportunity for them to apply their scientific and social knowledge while sharpening their critical-thinking and problem-solving skills under pressure.

“Global Ring the Bell” challenged young explorers to use interdisciplinary knowledge to answer thought-provoking questions.

Awakening the Senses at the “Global Sound Gate”

Moving beyond simply listening to music, students demonstrated impressive associative thinking as they identified famous melodies such as “Frère Jacques” (France), “Jai Ho” (India), and “Beijing Huan Ying Ni” (China) to determine the corresponding countries and flags. The activity also expanded their intercultural communication skills by introducing greetings in different languages from around the world.

Cultural Discovery Through “Find My Country!”

This exciting challenge focused on traditional costumes from different countries. Blindfolded “secret explorers” had to guess the correct country based on clues provided by their teammates. Through the game, students became more familiar with the cultural identities of Vietnam, South Korea, Thailand, Japan, and Spain, while also strengthening their communication, teamwork, and descriptive language skills.

Exploring Vietnamese Cuisine with the “Vietnam Flavor Map”

Students showcased their understanding of Vietnamese culture by working together to complete a culinary map representing the Northern, Central, and Southern regions of Vietnam. By identifying dishes from images and matching them to the correct regions, students deepened their geographical knowledge while developing a greater appreciation for the rich culinary heritage of their homeland.

Through a variety of exciting challenges, students gained valuable knowledge and memorable experiences.

Following a series of lively competitions, the organizing team congratulated the winning teams for their impressive performances:
