18/05/2026

Two basketball teams from Greenfield School hoisted the championship trophies in both the Middle School and High School divisions at the Greenfield 3x3 Open Cup 2026.

On the morning of May 16, 2026, the Greenfield 3x3 Open Cup 2026 officially tipped off at the Greenfield School Ecopark Campus. Hosted by Greenfield School Ecopark Campus, the tournament brought together 11 teams from six schools across Hanoi and surrounding areas. More than just a competitive arena for basketball enthusiasts, the event served as a hub for community connection, spreading the sports spirit and inspiring the younger generation.

The tournament featured two categories: the Middle School 3x3 Division and the High School 3x3 Division. While the Middle School division adopted a round-robin format, the High School division utilized a group stage followed by single-elimination knockout rounds. The matches were held on a standard outdoor basketball court, providing ideal playing conditions and creating a vibrant, community-oriented sporting atmosphere.

Eleven teams from six schools across Hanoi and neighboring areas participate in the tournament.

In the Middle School division, host Greenfield School Ecopark Campus was represented by Greenfield 1 and Greenfield 2, competing alongside three teams from Archimedes Middle School and The Dewey Schools. After 10 intense and challenging games, Greenfield 1 and Greenfield 2 delivered outstanding performances to capture the Gold and Silver medals, respectively, while Archimedes 1 secured the Bronze.

The High School division saw Greenfield 1 punch its ticket to the finals against Thach Ban High School after a dramatic group stage. Thach Ban enjoyed a strong start, taking an early lead over Greenfield 1. However, both teams quickly locked into a fierce, point-for-point battle. The momentum shifted in favor of Greenfield 1 when Minh Hieu drained two critical two-pointers. Despite Thach Ban's frantic efforts to close the gap, Greenfield 1 held their ground to seal a convincing 13-9 victory and claim the championship. Thach Ban finished as runners-up, followed by The Dewey Schools in third place.
