Learn to Love – Learning to Love the Right Way

12/04/2026

With the aim of helping students learn how to love and build meaningful connections with their families, friends, and those around them, the 21st edition of “Có Psy, Đừng Ngại” organized a mini-talk titled “Learn to Love” for students in Grades 6–12.

The workshop began with an activity called “How to Spell Your Love.” Through a 15-question quiz featuring real-life situations, students had the opportunity to reflect on their own love language. Is happiness found in having someone patiently listen to them, or in the warmth of thoughtful acts of care? Based on their responses, each student was able to identify the unique love language that lies within them.

Ms. Hoàng Diệu Thúy, a psychologist at Greenfield School, shared valuable insights during the 21st edition of the “Có Psy, Đừng Ngại” workshop.

Using the corresponding letters A, B, C, D, and E, the five love languages were introduced and explained: Words of Affirmation, Quality Time, Receiving Gifts, Acts of Service, and Physical Touch. By learning to recognize how they prefer to give and receive love, students came to understand that everyone communicates affection on a different emotional “frequency.” To truly connect with others, we need to learn how to understand and speak their love language.

Through a variety of engaging activities, students explored and identified the unique love languages hidden within themselves.

Perhaps the most important lesson from the workshop was the value of empathy in reducing unnecessary conflicts and misunderstandings. Using the right “language” of love not only helps nurture meaningful and lasting relationships but also supports the development of emotional intelligence and compassion. When we understand both ourselves and others, love becomes not a burden, but a positive force that helps us grow together.

Using the right love language not only strengthens relationships but also helps students develop emotional intelligence.

Greenfield School believes that choosing the right way to express love is the key to building strong and lasting connections. We hope that after this 21st edition, students have gained valuable skills to nurture their relationships with greater understanding and appreciation. The “Có Psy, Đừng Ngại” mini-talk series will continue to accompany students every Thursday lunchtime with many more engaging topics to come. Stay tuned!
