With the aim of enhancing knowledge and practical skills for all staff members, Greenfield School, in collaboration with Kusumi Hospital – Tokyo Vietnam Medical University, launched the “First aid for hurt feelings” training program starting from July 7, 2025.

During the training session, Dr. Ishizaki Azumi, specialist in Internal Medicine, and Dr. Le Van Tung, First-Level Specialist (Kusumi Hospital), provided Greenfield School staff with essential knowledge and skills in first aid for a range of emergency situations, including: airway obstruction, stroke, heart attack, epileptic seizures, convulsions, bleeding, soft tissue injuries, sprains, muscle strains, joint dislocations, burns, and safe patient transport.

In addition to theoretical knowledge, participants had the opportunity to practice hands-on techniques on simulation mannequins. Understanding the importance of the training, the atmosphere throughout the session was engaging and open, with active discussions between the doctors and staff members. The trainers also thoroughly addressed various real-life scenarios and clarified questions related to first aid procedures.

The training helped staff better understand the vital importance of first aid. Enhancing first aid knowledge and skills among school staff plays a crucial role in preventing and minimizing the consequences of injuries and accidents in the school setting and the broader community.

Beyond theory – hands-on practice for Greenfield teachers and staff

This initiative also lays the foundation for teachers and staff to spread first aid awareness among students, helping them understand the value of basic first aid knowledge in protecting their health, enjoying safe learning and play, and being able to assist others in times of emergency.
