After a hard and suspenseful application period, Pham Quoc Thai (12A1) received an admission letter from Deakin University - Top 1% of the world's leading universities, Top 1 young university in Australia.
In addition, Quoc Thai successfully conquered the Pioneers scholarship (worth 150 million VND) from Swinburne Vietnam University. He was also soon admitted to leading universities in Vietnam such as Thuong Mai University, University of Economics - Vietnam National University, Hanoi and FPT University.
In February 2024, when deciding to study abroad after graduation, Quoc Thai seriously prepared his application and applied for a scholarship "hunt". He chose to study in Australia because this is a country with leading education with many prestigious universities. At the same time, Australia also has one of the most developed economies, along with a diverse but close and open culture.
Realizing that his GPA and IELTS scores were not outstanding, Quoc Thai focused on the essay to apply for a scholarship. He spent a lot of time researching and asking for experience from previous friends to have a more outstanding essay than other candidates. "I wrote the essay in 2 weeks, I had to stay up late asking friends for feedback and editing many times to complete the version that I felt most satisfied with," Quoc Thai shared.
Quoc Thai's essay mentioned participating in the STEAM Club and the Sports Club at Greenfield School, which helped him improve his communication, adaptation and problem-solving skills. Besides that, his leadership, teamwork and time management skills were also honed through participating in extracurricular activities such as calling for capital for the Tet Nhan Ai charity fund. This is also the part that he thinks he has conquered the Deakin University Scholarship Review Council.

Quoc Thai received good news when he was admitted to a 20% scholarship from Deakin University after a week of waiting. This result is as expected, however, Quoc Thai realizes that studying abroad needs to be oriented early and carefully prepared to achieve higher results. In addition, participating in extracurricular activities related to the majors that he wants to pursue is necessary.
Besides the encouragement from his family, the motivation that drives Quoc Thai to strive to study and achieve the results he has today is the need for self-development. Born into a family with parents working in the business field, Quoc Thai soon had his own direction. Choosing to study in a foreign environment is a way for him to learn and access the world's leading economies.
Looking back on the 7-year journey of studying at Greenfield School, Quoc Thai wants to say thank you to the place that gave him memorable student years. At Greenfield School, he studied in a safe environment, was able to freely experience and discover himself, was respected, loved and met good friends. Besides that, Quoc Thai feels very lucky to have dedicated teachers who are always ready to listen and closely instruct him throughout the learning process.

He added that he will spend more time with his family as well as plan for the upcoming journey.
