Greenfield School Environment Club joins hands for animal welfare

On September 28th, the students of the Greenfield Environment Club (DEC) had a meaningful trip to the Hanoi Wildlife Rescue Center (Soc Son, Hanoi). This is one of the first rescue centers in Vietnam dedicated to rescuing, conserving, and breeding multiple wildlife species.
At the center, the students had the opportunity to interact with staff members, learn about rare animal species, and participate in observing animal behavior using scientific research methods. A highlight of this trip was the donation of a centrifuge machine and essential equipment to support the center’s wildlife rescue and care efforts.
This contribution marks the achievement of nearly six months of the "Green Forest" project initiated by the Greenfield Environment Club. With the goal of contributing to wildlife conservation in Vietnam, the club successfully launched the "Paper for Trees" event as the first phase of the project. In just three weeks, students collected over three tons of paper, equivalent to 7,362,000 VND.
Nguyen Khac Hai Dang (11C1), President of DEC, shared: “The trip to the Hanoi Wildlife Rescue Center provided us with valuable knowledge and a deeper understanding of animal welfare. I hope the Greenfield Environment Club will continue to grow and carry out meaningful projects for the community in the future.”
Over the past academic year, DEC has made a significant impact on the school community through initiatives such as DEMax (recycling fabric bags), Start Green Go Green (raising awareness about sustainable living), and Xanh (reforesting barren hills in Ben En, Thanh Hoa). We look forward to seeing DEC continue its passionate efforts and drive more positive environmental changes in the new school year.

As part of the Community Service subject, on the afternoon of November 30, the students of classes 10C1 and 11C1 embarked on a meaningful trip to Tuyet Thai Nursing Home in Dong Anh, Hanoi. Officially operating since 2012, Tuyet Thai Nursing Home has become a "second home" for nearly 90 elderly residents, many of whom suffer from chronic illnesses or are bedridden.

As part of the Community Project, "Tutoring for Underclassmen" is carried out by students of class 10G2, aiming to support younger students from grades 1 to 5 in having a meaningful time after school. The project provides a safe and effective learning space while helping children develop their communication skills, focus, and teamwork through engaging experiential activities.
