“Mind2BeKind”: 11G2 Students Bring the World of English Closer to Finado Children

12/05/2026

With the aim of supporting children with limited access to educational opportunities, in the second semester of the 2025–2026 academic year, Class 11G2 (Bilingual Global Citizen Program) launched the community project “mind2bekind.”

The project not only contributed to the development of students’ personal skills but also strengthened their sense of social responsibility, helping children gain greater opportunities to learn, connect, and grow through education.

Accompanying 11G2 on this journey was Finado Humanitarian House, a non-profit educational organization that has spent more than 16 years supporting the education of thousands of children in rural areas. Currently, Finado provides English lessons, soft-skills training, and reading-culture programs for approximately 82–100 children aged 7 to 13, helping them build a strong foundation for their future.

Finado Humanitarian House became a meaningful destination where 11G2 students carried out their community project with enthusiasm and a strong sense of responsibility.

To raise funds for the project, the students independently organized a series of three creative workshops, including a Crocs charm decorating workshop, a bracelet-making workshop, and a scented sachet workshop. These activities attracted enthusiastic participation from teachers, staff members, and students across Greenfield School. In addition, the students set up fundraising booths featuring handmade items such as charms and keychains, alongside a variety of engaging interactive games.

After more than two months of dedicated fundraising efforts, the project raised over VND 5 million. On the morning of May 9, the students visited Finado Humanitarian House to present the funds and organize a series of English-learning activities for the children there. Through familiar topics such as animals, fruits, and transportation, the 11G2 students combined role-playing, interactive games, and vocabulary review activities to create a lively, enjoyable, and highly engaging learning environment.

Smiles, eager hands raised to answer questions, and the children's excitement made the English lessons truly memorable and full of connection and joy.

Observing the activities throughout the day, Ms. Le Thi Thu Hien, Director of Finado Humanitarian House, shared: “Although they are still young, Greenfield School students demonstrated remarkable dedication in their preparation, coordination, and ability to generate creative ideas. They embody the image of young people striving to spread kindness, connection, and positive energy to the community—a spirit that is truly admirable.”

Ha Minh Duc (11G2), the Project Leader, reflected: “Thanks to the unity and effective collaboration of all team members, our field trip and project activities were carried out successfully. Through this project, we had the opportunity to further develop our teamwork, creativity, and project-management skills. I hope Finado Humanitarian House will continue to receive greater support and attention from the community, both materially and emotionally. I also hope the children will have more learning opportunities and always feel surrounded by love and care from those around them.”

In addition to the funds raised, the Mind2BeKind project donated life-skills minibooks, English vocabulary flashcards, and study-guidance materials to the library of Finado Humanitarian House. While the material value of these gifts may not have been great, each one represented a journey of effort, collaboration, and personal growth. Through the project, students gained valuable lessons in leadership, organization, responsibility, compassion, and the importance of spreading positive values within the community.

The project provided students with meaningful lessons about kindness, initiative, and social responsibility.

Let’s take a look back at the meaningful moments shared by 11G2 students during this heartwarming field trip to Finado Humanitarian House!
