"Sunshine IV: Summer Rain" Liveshow – After the Rain, Comes the Sun
12/04/2025
On the evening of April 12, over 80 students from the Volunteer Club and Sol Music Club ignited the stage, performing for nearly 400 audience members undeterred by a torrential downpour at the "Sunshine IV: Summer Rain" liveshow.
The event was part of the "Sunshine" community project, which aims to spread love and bring books and playgrounds closer to disadvantaged children in highland regions.
Spanning nearly three hours, "Sunshine IV: Summer Rain" guided the audience through three acts: "Summer Rain," "Blaze Bright," and "Rainbow After the Rain." The show featured popular and catchy songs like "Counting Stars" and "Rolling in the Deep," alongside fierce rock anthems beloved by the students, which had the audience swaying and dancing even without knowing the lyrics.

Beyond the performances from Sol, "Sunshine IV: Summer Rain" surprised attendees with its high-quality guest lineup. Mr. Dai Hai delivered a soulful rendition of "Trot Yeu," while Kien Trinh energized the crowd with his signature hits "Qua Tim Mau Lua," "Con Gioi," and "Ben Trai." Truant Fu also joined the stage, leading the audience in sing-alongs to "Runaway," "Hoa Dang," "Roi Ren," and "Mot Thoi."
Even when the "sound of rain drowned out the microphones," the audience remained undeterred, determined to brave the downpour, dance, and sing along with the students. "From the audience to the guest singers and the sound and lighting crew, everyone was incredibly supportive, so we never gave up. After the liveshow ended, everyone – the audience and the organizing committee – was soaked, but what we received were words of congratulations and encouragement from the audience, smiles from our team members, and messages expressing their 'love for Sunshine'," shared Quynh Chau, Head of the Organizing Committee for "Sunshine IV: Summer Rain."

True to its theme, "Summer Rain" presented its challenges and difficulties, yet it also ignited new rays of sunshine – symbolizing how youth overcome obstacles to continue shining and spreading positive values. From three months of ideation, meticulous planning, and diligent rehearsals to the final execution, over 80 dedicated and responsible individuals "joined hands" to deliver a spectacular liveshow, marking their significant efforts.

Stay tuned for the unveiling of a spacious library and playground for the children at Viễn Sơn Primary & Secondary School (Thap Cai Hamlet, Viễn Sơn Commune, Văn Yên District, Yên Bái Province), to be built with the proceeds from "Sunshine IV: Summer Rain" in the near future!
