Closing the chapter on doubts, and opening a journey of self-recognition.
18/05/2026
The journey of the “With Psy, Don’t Be Afraid” mini-talk series in the 2025–2026 academic year officially came to a close with a warm and meaningful sharing space in Episode 23, themed “Closing, Opening.”
The final workshop of the academic year was organized with the aim of helping Greenfield School students reflect on the journey they have taken, learn to appreciate their own efforts, and nurture self-compassion in order to become more resilient in the face of upcoming changes.

At the beginning of the session, students took part in an experiential activity called “What Have We Done?”. By walking around the room, revisiting familiar experiences throughout the school year, and placing stickers on the milestones they had reached, students had the opportunity to reflect on their own growth journey. From this activity, the psychologists guided discussions around the question: “Why do we often struggle to acknowledge ourselves?” Through this, students gradually understood the difference between self-recognition and arrogance, gaining a more balanced perspective of themselves.
The workshop also highlighted “invisible barriers” that prevent many students from feeling proud of themselves, including peer pressure. Through the illustration of a “missing square,” students learned that the human brain tends to focus on shortcomings and what has not been achieved, while overlooking the full journey of effort behind it. Real-life stories shared during the workshop helped students realize that constantly comparing themselves to others’ “standards” only increases pressure and emotional strain.
The most meaningful highlight of this final session was the “Achievement Cake” activity. Each student took time to reflect on the past year, write down something they were proud of, and place it on a shared class cake. Though simple, these messages reflected courage—acknowledging both unfinished areas and appreciating the efforts and accomplishments they had achieved throughout their journey.
“Closing” the school year with a cake filled with achievements also marked the beginning of new journeys ahead. Greenfield School believes that self-understanding, self-compassion, and the valuable lessons from the “With Psy, Don’t Be Afraid” workshop series will become important tools for students to grow more confident, resilient, and self-aware in the future.
We look forward to seeing them in the journeys ahead—with greater confidence and more self-love than ever before.
