At the orientation session “Experiencing Study Abroad in Japan at APU” (APU: Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University), organized by the Career Guidance Department of Greenfield School, students from Grades 10–12 had the opportunity to have their questions fully addressed, opening up a strong new option for their future journey.

“How can you fully understand every aspect of a university, the application process, how to successfully secure scholarships, and real-life experiences—without actually studying there?” In just two hours at the orientation session “Experiencing Study Abroad in Japan at APU” (APU: Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University), organized by the Career Guidance Department of Greenfield School, students from Grades 10–12 had all these questions answered, opening up a strong new option for their future journey.

The program featured Nguyen Ngoc Anh Tram (GFS alumna from class 12G2, academic years 2021–2024), who successfully earned a 65% scholarship to APU and is currently majoring in Culture, Society, and Media at the university. Joining the session was Mr. Nguyen Quang Vinh – Representative of the APU Office in Vietnam, who provided official and up-to-date information on the admission process and scholarship policies.

During the session, Tram shared real-life experiences about preparing language skills and mindset from high school, as well as how she applied the competencies gained at GFS to adapt to university life. Meanwhile, Mr. Nguyen Quang Vinh provided official insights into the application process, tuition fees, living expenses, and the latest scholarship updates, helping students gain a comprehensive understanding of the study abroad journey.

Students actively engaged in discussions with the speakers during the workshop.

Sharing her perspective on choosing a university, Tram noted: “Instead of focusing solely on distant rankings, I prioritize compatibility—ranging from strong academic programs and teaching methods to the unique culture of the institution. Most importantly, it’s about whether the environment truly supports my personal growth. In addition, self-learning ability and the skill to effectively use supporting tools are ‘universal keys’ that help students confidently study anywhere in the world.”

Highlighting the value of intergenerational connections among GFS students, Mr. Nguyen Quang Vinh emphasized: “Orientation sessions like this create an ideal space where students not only receive official information but also gain real-life insights from alumni. This helps them form a comprehensive and realistic picture of studying abroad, and understand that stepping into the global environment is entirely achievable with thorough preparation.”

Many valuable insights and scholarship tips were gained by students during the session.

Concluding the orientation, Greenfield School students walked away with a wealth of useful information and an additional promising option for their future academic journey. The school believes that close guidance, combined with valuable experiences shared by previous generations, will serve as a strong foundation for students to confidently pursue their future goals.
