Grade 12 students compete in business case challenge at the Opening Round of Business For Community Competition
31/10/2024
The Opening Round of the "Business For Community Competition" – A Business Competition for Social Issues – officially took place this morning, featuring 10 competing teams from classes 12C1, 12G1, and 12G2. At this stage, the teams were assigned a Case Study on Good Neighbors International (GNI) – a non-governmental and international development organization engaged in community projects and child protection initiatives in Vietnam.

With their quick reading comprehension and research skills, the teams successfully identified the challenges faced by GNI. Many innovative solutions were proposed, such as investing more in short-form video content to increase social media reach, building trust with sponsors through direct discussions, and seeking support from education advisors in Vietnam.

After 90 minutes of problem-solving, the teams drew lots to determine their presentation order and took turns presenting their ideas. Despite the limited time, their presentations demonstrated clear and logical thinking, showcasing strong research abilities and problem-solving skills. Facing tough questions from the judges, the students remained confident, providing convincing answers and well-supported arguments.

The Opening Round left a strong impression on teachers and judges, highlighting the meticulous preparation, serious approach, and remarkable talent of the young participants. Greenfield School believes that through this competition, students have gained valuable exposure to social issues, analyzed them critically, and proposed effective solutions—equipping themselves with essential skills for the upcoming rounds.
The Semifinals and Finals of the competition will take place over the next two months. What innovative social business ideas and solutions will the teams propose? Will the contestants be able to defend their viewpoints and convince the judges with their strategies? Parents and teachers, stay tuned and support our students as they take on this exciting challenge!
