Tet of Kindness Fair 2026: Ancient Vietnamese spirit meets the radiance of spring

06/02/2026

The "Tet of Kindness" Fair 2026 left a lasting impression on attendees, standing out for its proactive spirit and being entirely "student-led" by the youth of Greenfield School Ecopark Campus.

On February 6, 2026, over 3,000 students joined teachers, parents, and visitors for a warm reunion at the Tet of Kindness Fair. Marking its 13th anniversary, the event continued its mission as a journey back to ancestral roots—where every step is an experience, every stop a cultural vignette, and every activity a piece of a vibrant traditional tapestry.

True to the signature style of Greenfield School, the fairground was a masterpiece of unique decoration. Upon entering, visitors were transported to a traditional rural marketplace. Towering bamboo gates, rustic tea stalls, thatched roofs, red distichs, flower carts, and traditional fishing gear evoked pure memories of a bygone era, often lost in the bustle of modern life.

Under the theme "Vietnamese Spirit – Radiant Spring," the opening ceremony seamlessly blended traditional arts with contemporary music. Performances by students and teachers did more than just ignite a festive atmosphere; they channeled national pride and an optimistic drive toward a new era of development.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ms. Vu Thi Lien Hoa, Principal of Greenfield School Ecopark Campus, shared: “Now in its 13th year, the Tet of Kindness has become a hallmark tradition—a humanitarian event that Greenfield School has steadfastly nurtured and expanded with each passing school year. Through this event, students have the opportunity to apply interdisciplinary knowledge, hone their skills, showcase individual talents, and cultivate creative thinking. Most importantly, they learn the value of compassion as the fruits of their own labor are contributed to charitable activities and community-focused initiatives".

Following the ceremony, guests explored over 100 stalls managed by various classes and partners. From regional cuisines and souvenirs to handicrafts and agricultural products, every booth was planned and operated by students with guidance from teachers and parents. The students demonstrated impressive initiative, designing their own posters and organizing interactive activities to engage customers.

The fair’s soul resided in its folk culture activities. Visitors delighted in: Traditional Crafts: Wrapping Banh Chung, making Oan (sticky rice cakes), and woodblock printing (Dong Ho paintings), Folk Games & Arts: Calligraphy, tug-of-war, clay figurine molding (To He), The Arts: The "Spring Colors" exhibition featuring 100 student artworks, the grand stage play "Thanh Giong – A Thousand Years of Spirit" with 60 secondary students, and the lively "Spring Melodies" minishow.

Traditional folk activities remain an indispensable highlight of the Tet of Kindness Fair.

The spirit of Spring was further solidified through the finals of three major competitions: "The Beauty of Vietnamese Calligraphy" (Grades 4-5), "Thach Sanh’s Rice Pot" (Grades 6-8), and "The Beauty of Greenfield" (Grades 9-12). Through these, students showcased their pride in Vietnam's cultural heritage in their own creative ways.

Ms. Le Thu Ha, a parent of two students, remarked: "Each year, the school brings a fresh theme that provides meaningful cultural experiences. I see my children maturing significantly; they arrive early, divide tasks, and most importantly, they learn the value of empathy and sharing with those in need."

Tet of Kindness 2026 is more than a cultural celebration; it is a bridge connecting the community and nurturing sustainable values for the future generation. All proceeds from the fair will be dedicated to charity projects, continuing the 13-year humanitarian journey of Greenfield School.

Greenfield School would like to extend our sincere thanks to our partners (British University Vietnam, Aden Services, Ecochi Chinese Center), parents, teachers, students, and visitors for creating such a radiant and fulfilling event. We wish everyone a Happy New Year filled with prosperity and success!
