To help students gain a deeper understanding of the nation’s glorious history, during their Semester 2 experiential learning trip, Grade 4 students had the opportunity to visit the Ho Chi Minh Trail Museum this morning (March 11). The Ho Chi Minh Trail—also known as the Truong Son Trail—has been recorded in Vietnamese history as a “legendary route,” a remarkable feat during the resistance war against the United States.

At the start of the journey, students explored a world of historical artifacts, from the Dien Bien Phu Campaign to the challenging years of the anti-American resistance. Curious eyes were drawn to collections of memorabilia and the Ho Chi Minh badges awarded to distinguished soldiers. In particular, stories about anti-jamming innovations during the 1968–1972 period sparked admiration for the ingenuity and intelligence of previous generations

Students explored a world of artifacts spanning from the Dien Bien Phu Campaign to the challenging years of the resistance war against the United States.

The outdoor exhibition area, featuring a command bunker system and everyday artifacts of Ho Chi Minh and the soldiers, drew significant attention. Standing before the Truong Son battlefield model, students gained a deeper understanding of the harsh terrain of the dense forests and the immense challenges faced by both soldiers and civilians. These vivid details brought history to life, helping students develop a greater appreciation for previous generations.

Even as the visit came to an end, excitement remained evident through lively discussions about what they had seen and learned. The trip was not only an engaging learning experience but also a meaningful journey connecting students with their roots and the nation’s proud history. The school hopes that each student will continue to nurture gratitude and pride, and be inspired to strive harder in both their studies and personal development.

The visit not only enriched students’ knowledge and experiences but also fostered a sense of national pride and gratitude toward previous generations.
