Stepping into the role of reporters, Grade 11G1 & 11G2 students search for answers to their journey of choosing a university major and institution.

25/12/2025

In the learning project “The University Journey – Perspectives from Current Students and Alumni,” students of Grades 11G1 and 11G2 took on the role of “young reporters,” directly listening to the stories of those who came before them to help decode their own future pathways.

After more than a month of implementation, students of Grades 11G1 and 11G2 presented the final reports of their project. Taking on the role of “young reporters,” they worked in groups and conducted direct interviews with current university students and alumni who had graduated within the past five years. Through this process, students practiced essential skills such as questioning, information gathering, analysis, and reflection—all in service of shaping their own career orientations.
Stepping into the role of “young reporters,” Grade 11G1 & 11G2 students embarked on a journey to decode the process of choosing a major and a university.
Their projects were presented in a range of creative formats, including mini documentary videos, podcasts combined with infographics, and case studies. Interviewees came from various universities and fields—such as Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy, VinUni, and Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University (APU)—offering students authentic insights into decision-making journeys, common challenges, and real-world strategies for overcoming them.
Students confidently presented their reports and the lessons they had drawn from the stories shared by university students and alumni.

In the reflection section, Tuệ Uyên shared: “I clearly see the importance of actively seeking information and staying committed to my choices.” Meanwhile, Hà Đức noted: “I learned that feeling uncertain is completely normal—everyone goes through it. What matters is being patient, thinking long-term, and having the courage to choose what you truly believe in.” Many others also realized that choosing a major or university is only truly meaningful when it stems from self-understanding and inner strength.

Choosing a major and a university is a long-term journey that requires thoughtful research, real-life experiences, and sustained effort. Greenfield School believes that through the lessons of Career Orientation and the close guidance of subject teachers, students will feel more confident in building their academic pathways and preparing for their future journeys ahead.
