The “welcome Tet” lessons of Greenfield School students

In each grade, students have different hands-on experiences with activities designed to suit their age. While the young students in Grade 1 carefully decorate red envelopes, Grade 2 students eagerly compose meaningful Tet wishes. Grade 3 students skillfully create colorful cards, Grade 4 students get creative with bookmarks inspired by the 12 zodiac animals, and Grade 5 students are introduced to Dong Ho painting through a fun coloring activity. Meanwhile, secondary school students have the opportunity to try their hand at calligraphy and give presentations on Tet-related topics. 

Admiring their creations after an hour of enthusiastic learning, every student smiles with delight and eagerly shows off their work to friends and teachers. During the lesson, students also learn some English vocabulary and confidently present basic information about the traditional Tet holiday. Most notably, they demonstrate their English communication skills with confidence, constantly engaging and conversing with native-speaking teachers.

By skillfully integrating dynamic activities into each lesson, students not only have fun but also have the opportunity to engage with, experience, and preserve the traditional cultural values of the nation. Moreover, foreign teachers gain a deeper understanding of the significance of the traditional Tet holiday and the unique symbols associated with this celebration.
