"Unwind" with an exciting series of workshops alongside Greenfield School students.

30/10/2024

Did parents and students know that with just one ball or a painting, we can relieve stress, soothe emotions, and improve mental health? On October 28th and 30th, two exciting and valuable workshops, part of the "Mental Health Awareness Month - Greenmind Month" program, attracted a large number of students' participation.

In the Elementary School block, the students had the opportunity to create their own Stress Balls using cornstarch, water, and balloons. When mixed with just the right amount of water, cornstarch forms a non-Newtonian fluid, which is highly elastic under pressure. Not only did the children enjoy "mixing" the ingredients and decorating their personal Stress Balls, but they also learned about the positive impact these Stress Balls can have in improving mood.

The students were excited as they created their very own stress balls.

️Meanwhile, for the Middle School students, they were free to express their artistic creativity through the creation of monoprints. Before starting, they were introduced to art therapy – using creative art to heal and enhance mental health. Using leaves and flower petals prepared by the organizers, the students had the chance to express their thoughts and emotions through vibrant, colorful paintings.

The students carefully pressed the colorful leaves onto their paintings.

The two workshops concluded with joy, showcasing unique and creative products, as well as valuable insights into mental health. After their classroom lessons, these workshops offered a relaxing break, allowing the students to unwind, recharge, and be ready to absorb new knowledge.
