"Bon Bon - Full Bellies, Warm Hearts", Spreads Love

14/04/2025

Over 250 orders sold and 7.5 million VND raised – these are the impressive results achieved by students of class 10G1 after nearly two months of implementing their "Bon Bon - Full Bellies, Warm Hearts" project.

This initiative not only allowed students to apply their "Community Service" coursework to real-world scenarios but also made a tangible and meaningful contribution to the community.

To raise funds for the project, the students personally made and sourced products such as cream puffs, kimbap, and tteokbokki – popular and easy-to-sell items among young people. They sold these online via Facebook and directly at a booth at the "Cho Que" (Countryside Market) in Ecopark Urban Area. "There's nothing more practical than letting the students raise funds with their own hands. The meaning doubles when they both make and give with their own hands," said Ms. Ngoc Uyen, a Community Service teacher.

The students prepared cream puffs and kimbap themselves at their booth at Chợ Quê (Ecopark).

Phuong Linh (10G1), the project's Operations Team Leader, shared, "I divided the logistics team into an order preparation group and a delivery group, with the delivery group assigned routes by area to save time and transportation costs. The biggest challenge for me was during peak hours, when orders piled up while many team members had personal schedules. To ensure timely deliveries, I had to flexibly reschedule or ask friends for support."

Duc Minh (10G1), Marketing Team Leader, stated, "This was my first time leading a fundraising project. Lacking much experience in content creation, communication, and personnel management, I found it quite difficult at first. However, thanks to the support from our teachers and the excellent coordination of our team members, we managed to create a pretty solid 'Bon Bon' fanpage."

The students' booth attracted a large number of customers who came to show their support.

While 7.5 million VND may not be an enormous sum, it represents the collective effort and dedication of the 10G1 students throughout the project. With the funds raised, the students will embark on a trip this Friday, April 18, to the Center for Nurturing Children with Disabilities in Chuong My, Hanoi, to donate books, notebooks, and school supplies to the young residents there. Parents, please look forward to 10G1's upcoming meaningful journey!
