"Tutoring for Underclassmen" – Sharing Knowledge, Connecting with Love

28/11/2024

As part of the Community Project, "Tutoring for Underclassmen" is carried out by students of class 10G2, aiming to support younger students from grades 1 to 5 in having a meaningful time after school. The project provides a safe and effective learning space while helping children develop their communication skills, focus, and teamwork through engaging experiential activities.

Prior to the project, students of class 10G2 had the opportunity to hear valuable insights from Ms. Khanh Ly, a Primary School teacher, about children's psychology, effective communication, and simple yet engaging ways to convey knowledge. Additionally, they conducted a survey and interacted with younger students to better understand their learning and recreational needs.

As a familiar place where primary students often gather after school, the library in Building B became the ideal venue for the project. Alongside one-on-one and group tutoring sessions, the students also introduced fun and engaging activities such as recycling crafts, musical instrument playing, handmade crafts, and board games. Acting as mentors and companions, they not only guided the younger students but also encouraged them to be more confident and actively participate in each session.

As mentors, the students of class 10G2 are always ready to assist, listen to, and support the younger students.

Not only does the project offer new experiences, but it also strengthens the supportive and connected relationships between students across different grade levels at Greenfield School. Through each tutoring session, the 10G2 students cultivate patience, a sense of responsibility, and a deeper understanding of the value of guiding, supporting, and inspiring those around them.

The project not only provides new experiences but also strengthens the relationships between students across different grade levels at the school.

The project is currently being implemented from Tuesday to Friday until the second week of December. Primary students are invited to visit the library in Building B after school to learn, relax, and enjoy time with friends and the 10G2 mentors!
