Teachers and students of Greenfield School bring love to the children at Lung Hoai school

11/01/2025

Charity trips towards the community always bring smiles, joy, and abundant human values. This is exactly what happened during the charity trip "Mây xanh chắp cánh tri thức" as part of the Tet Nhan Ai 2025 initiative, to the Lung Hoai school, with the participation of teachers and students from Greenfield School yesterday (10/01).

Lung Hoai School (part of Thượng Nung Primary School, Thượng Nung Commune, Võ Nhai District, Thái Nguyên Province) is located in a valley, with 5 classrooms made of prefabricated materials, each covering an area of 20m². The school currently has 56 students from grades 1 to 5, all of whom belong to the H'Mong ethnic group. Their families are from poor or near-poor households, living scattered around the surrounding mountains.

Understanding the difficulties faced by the students here, on January 6th, the "May xanh chap canh tri thuc" program was launched to all teachers and students at Greenfield School. Within a short time, the program received thousands of books, comics, notebooks, school supplies, toys, food, and greeting cards with warm wishes for the teachers and students of Lung Hoai School. Additionally, Greenfield School allocated funds from the Humanitarian Fund to purchase teaching equipment, bookshelves, New Year gifts, and a variety of plants to send to the school.

When arriving at the school, all the fatigue of the teachers and students seemed to vanish when seeing the innocence and joy of the children. Without being told, the students enthusiastically got to work on the tasks that had been assigned: one group set up bookshelves, another group sorted the gifts into bags, and a third group prepared experience stations. The engaging activities, including the exciting play “Thay boi xem voi” performed by teachers and students, and the delicious meals prepared by the Aden chefs, brought moments of joy and happiness to the children.

The interesting activities implemented captivated the attention of the young students at the school.
The children often enjoyed a hot bowl of pho prepared by the Aden chefs.

In the charity trip, Nguyen Ngoc Khanh (9A5) shared: “Meeting and talking with the children here helped me understand the scarcity, hardships, and resilience they face. This is my first time going on a charity trip, and I’ve learned so much, feeling grateful for the opportunities I have and the well-off life I lead. It also made me appreciate the value of sharing and helping the community.”

Each gift, though small, is filled with the love and care of the Greenfield School community, offering encouragement for the children at Lung Hoai School to continue learning and striving in life. Greenfield School hopes that this trip has inspired the students with a sense of compassion and social responsibility, fostering empathy for those less fortunate and spreading positive values throughout the community.
