At the Mid-Autumn Festival this morning (October 3, 2025), dressed in traditional áo dài, students immersed themselves in the nostalgic atmosphere of past generations, just as their grandparents, parents, and teachers once did. They enjoyed folk games such as bamboo pole jumping, ô ăn quan, and skipping rope; eagerly watched lion dances; made sticky rice mooncakes; crafted tò he figurines; painted papier-mâché masks; and folded water buffaloes from banana leaves.
A Celebration Full of Love: Mid-Autumn Festival at Greenfield School

What does a traditional Mid-Autumn Festival look like in a modern school setting?
At Greenfield School Ecopark Campus, students experienced a Mid-Autumn Festival rich in traditional cultural values while embracing a modern, inclusive spirit through folk games, exciting competitions, and engaging activities.

Leading up to the festival, primary students participated in lessons exploring the Mid-Autumn Festival and competed in two special contests: “Vietnamese Language King” and “Fairy Tale Moon Garden.” Meanwhile, secondary students brightened the festival by dedicating their break times and after-school hours to creating meaningful activities for the younger students.

However, the Mid-Autumn Festival is not only a time for reunion and togetherness—it is also an occasion to share love and care. While students are enjoying the full moon, many places outside are still suffering the severe aftermath of storms, facing losses and hardships that are hard to measure.
Therefore, alongside experiential activities, Greenfield School encourages students to support those in need through practical actions: donating books and school supplies, and raising funds via the Garasale stalls at the festival. In this way, the festival shines not only with lanterns and masks but also with the efforts of a generation of students who are responsible and compassionate.
Greenfield School hopes that with each full moon, students grow more mature, gain richer experiences, and develop a deeper appreciation for traditional cultural values. We also wish peace and happiness for everyone. Parents, let’s look back at today’s moments of the students and look forward to the meaningful initiatives they will create in the near future!
